There are no apparent background tasks that could explain it ![]() Running the Mac diagnostic tool (rebooting with cmd-d) suggests that the hardware is okīooting off my nightly backup drive makes no difference so I don't think it's a harddrive issue (this will have the latest Mac update too, though) Things I've tried:īooting into safe mode makes no differenceīooting into single use mode and running fsck -fy reports that the disk is ok I'm a Mac developer so I'm technically minded - I've tried every avenue I can think of to narrow this down, but I now need to help to see if I've missed something. As of Tuesday morning my Mac has been essentially unusable due to it being extremely slow and beachballing continuously. Everything appeared to work correctly and I used the Mac with no problems on Monday. ![]() I updated to the latest version of Mac OS this weekend. ![]()
